Page 24 - Titled - Jeevan without Religion (Jeevan means Life in malayalam)

Attached is the page which has caused strikes and major disruption in Kerala. This is the page from the 7th Standard Social Studies Book which has dragged into controversies.

See yourself and decide whether all these disruptions were really worth !!!

An English Translation of the chapter is given below as well.

Page 24 - Titled - Jeevan without Religion (Jeevan means Life in malayalam)

The lesson is set in a school room where two parents and their kid meet the Principal for school  admission. The Principal fills in the forms,

Principal: “What is your name?”
“Jeevan”
Principal: “Nice…father’s name?”
“Anwar Rasheed”
Principal: Mother’s name?”
“Lakshmi Devi”

The Principal  looks at the parents

Principal: “What should I fill in for the kid’s religion?”
Parents : “Keep it blank…or else add No Religion”

Principal: “Caste”
Parents : “not needed”

The Principal leans back on his chair and asks solemnly

Principal: “What if he wants a religion when he grows up?”
Parents : “If he wants a religion when he grows up, he can choose the one he likes then”

End of Lesson

Bishops of Kerala needs a mental treatment.
I believe they need to be dealt strictly. What ever the government says the latin catholic bishops dont want to follow - like the self financing colleges have become a place for them to make money, the single window entrace for plus two and this one is the latest !

They are going beyond all leaps and bounds and tampering the communal harmony in Kerala. If Hindus start of a violence then what do they do ? Have they thought about that ?
On this issue of 7th standard text book, bishops of other factions said that they cannot see anything wrong in it and the catholic bishops say that “they” are monority - Indirectly this means minority doesnt have voice ???

Then let the catholic bishops keep their mouth shut !

Catholic bishops expect the students in their community not to read any book after their 7th standard ? Foolish thought. Any one can go casteless anytime if they want. Look at the book and open your eyes and see what does that mean !

When Adam committed the 1st sin, God punished the people with privations, difficulties, crosses, pains and evils. So, time to time, we suffer calamities, inequities, injustice etc. This phenomenon is from the very beginning. The oldest religion Hinduism also says war, sexual abuse, favouritism, killings etc. How to tackle it, or how to sort it, that is the quality of a person, that is all. Evil is also good, for example, if there were no two world wars, today’s world would not have been developed. So, adjust with evils to receive goodness later. Nothing is bad and nobody is bad. Religion is good for getting disciplined and all religion is teaching good to the people, But …

    Manushyan Mathangala srushtichoo,
    Mathangal Daivangala srushtichoo,
    Manushyanum mathangalum daivangalum koodi
    Mannupankuvachoo, manassupankuvahoo

Not only the Bishops, all the corrupted political and religious leaders, who exist for their own benefit should keep shut their mouth. Let the young generation of Kerala start think at their own feet. Give way to Science and rational thought. Believe it or not, GOD DEFINITELY IS A VERB, NOT A NOUN OR PRONOUN.

I do not think the said book can spread Communism in 12 age students or any person .This is really surpise! And not against relegion or cast. I read the complete text book through net.

The text book issue is 100 % a politically motivated issue. Those who disagree they can submit their suggestion to the Committe that govt. formed recently. And peacefully can protest. Now what going on here is right ? In the account of relegion ?

Why are you limit the controversy to the page of 24. The whole book is in a controversy. Evenif the student is studying this book they will be in a controversy like terrerists. The whole version of this book is in a contraversial attempt. The book prepared experts have no enough ability to improve the students like 7th std. Anybody wants their child to be a immoral traffic, then you can recommend to study the Social Studies 7th std book.
