CIRCULAR
In accordance with the decisions during the X-mas / New Year celebrations held at Sinfin Community centre, the general body of the Derby Malayalee Association has in principle elected new members of the association and in order to streamline the functions of DMA, it was decided during the general body meeting held on 17.01.10 and two more members were added to the newly appointed committee. During the meeting the relevant documents of the association in original, the assets and accounts from previous year were handed over to the newly formed committee of DMA.
The primary meeting of the new office bearers was met on 23.01.10 and as per their decision and as being practised formerly, it has been decided to conduct three indoor programmes during the year 2010 also. Accordingly, Easter / Vishu celebrations 10.04.10 (11:30 to 6:00 pm), Onam celebrations on 28.8.10 and X-mas / New Year on 8.01.2011 have been planned to be conducted. Further, a sports day in connection with the Onam festival has also been planned on 15.8.10. This advance notice is given so as to enable you to plan and arrange your off duties to attend these special events and we request your co-operation.
The association desires and request everyone including parents and children to demonstrate their talents through various programmes and to make our celebrations very attractive and memorable. Time, venue and details of these programmes will be intimated in due course.
The association also considers, nurturing the intrinsic talents of our children and as a primary step to start a dance class very soon. DMA offers all sorts of supports and encouragement to participants, within the limits of the organisation. The administrators of ‘Geetha Bhavan’ have kindly consented to provide their premise, free-of-charge for this purpose, thanks to the unstinted efforts of our previous committee members. We seek from parents their valued support in this endeavour and request to utilise the opportunity.
Once again we thank you all for your kind support and boundless encouragement in the past and ask for the continuance of the same to streamline the activities of the association in an appropriate manner as we all wish. We appreciate your support and very much value your comments, guidance and suggestions.
